Middle School Students Make District Orchestra

Orchestra students from Horace Good Middle School and Kenneth Henderson Middle School auditioned and made the Southwest Kansas Music Association’s (SWKMEA) District Middle School Honor Orchestra.  There were a number of students that took first chair placement in their section, which is denoted by an asterisk (*).

The Kenneth Henderson Middle School orchestra students that earned a spot in this year’s SWKMEA Honor Orchestra include: Violin 1: Madison Bennett. Violin 2: Alex Argueta*, Connor Pilosof, Justin Contreras, and Ruby Gomez.  Viola: Joselyn Flores*, Ayden Cruz Rodriguez, and Cruz Diaz-Naeve. Cello: Annalise York* and Elissa Hinojos. Bass: Michael Oswalt.   

The following Horace Good Middle School orchestra students earned a spot in this year’s SWKMEA Honor Orchestra. They include: Violin 1: Sofia Madilo*, Charlotte Cheney, Dakota Marcellus, and Heaven Asebedo. Viola: Zennia Mendez-Vallejo. Cello: Braidyn Orebaugh and Joseph Miller.  Bass: Natalie Guevara-Rios*. Summer Miller directs the Horace Good Middle School orchestra and Haley Rotenberger directs the Kenneth Henderson Middle School orchestra.
