The College Board National Recognition Program recognized Garden City High School senior Adam Kennington as a College Board National Recognition Program Scholar. He received the National Rural and Small Town Recognition and also the National Hispanic Program Recognition from the program.
The College Board National Recognition Programs create pathways to college for students from underrepresented communities by awarding them academic honors and connecting them with universities across the country. Colleges use these honors to identify students from underrepresented groups who have excelled on their PSAT/NMSQT and in their classrooms.
Invitation are extended to students who scored in the top 2.5% of PSAT/NMSQT test takers and who identify as one or more of the following: African American, Hispanic American or Latinx, Indigenous, or attend school in a rural area, or are from a small town.
