Zoo, Public Library offering virtual options

In the past week, our community has seen an about face of our normal day-to-day lives. With the spread of the COVID-19 virus inevitable, residents have begun to limit their activities and most are practicing the 6-foot social distancing rule and limiting their group sizes.

Many local businesses have begun to take measures to ensure that the public still has access to their services.  Included in those providing additional services are the Lee Richardson Zoo and the Finney County Public Library.

Lee Richardson Zoo will be uploading videos periodically to their facebook page.  Check in on the animals and find out what’s going on at the zoo.  In addition, the charge for vehicles to drive through the zoo has been waived for the time being.  Their facebook page can be found @LeeRichardsonZoo or here.

The Finney County Public Library has closed the physical location to the public, but are continuing their services virtually.  Events that the public can view live include:

Picture Book Storytime–

Mon-Thursday 11:00am

Chapter Book Storytime–

Mon- Friday 1:00pm and 2:00pm

Teen Activities–

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 3:00pm

Tutorials on Educational Topics–

All videos can viewed on the library’s facebook page @FinneyCountyPublicLibrary or here.
