KHMS To Host Robotics Competition

Kenneth Henderson Middle School will host a robotics competition on Saturday, February 22, for teams across western Kansas.  The contest will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Kenneth Henderson Middle School gymnasium, 2406 Fleming Street.

The teams will bring their own robots to the competition, which are mainly completed.  A team of volunteers will judge and oversee the event.  The judges will be scoring the four categories along with the robot’s performance, which is a major part of the scoring.

The competition consists of a teamwork challenge, a skills challenge, an interview, and a notebook evaluation. The winners in the categories will qualify for the state championship that will be held on Saturday, March 14th in the main gym at Garden City High School.  The events are free and open to the public to attend.
