Gardening the Topic of Feb. 27 Lunch & Learn at Centura Health – St. Catherine Hospital

The monthly Lunch & Learn program at Centura Health – St. Catherine Hospital will be getting a jump on gardening on Feb. 27, when Dr. Gretchen Dunford and Debbie Wharton of Wharton’s For Every Bloomin’ Thing partner to present “A Beginner’s Guide to Growing Your Own Vegetables.”

St. Catherine Hospital, in partnership with LiveWell Finney County Health Coalition, launched a monthly educational Lunch & Learn series in January. The second program in the series will focus on gardening tips, information on what varieties of produce grow well in southwest Kansas, and suggestions on what to do with the vegetables you grow.

The program is scheduled for noon in Classroom B at St. Catherine Hospital.

The Lunch & Learn programs, which will be held the fourth Thursday of each month, are free and open to the public. Lunch is free to the first 40 attendees.
