‘Folky-tonk’ duo to perform HPPR Living Room concert

On July 19, High Plains Public Radio will host Pushing Chain, a Minnesota-based “folky-tonk” duo in the studio at 7 p.m. as part of the HPPR Living Room Concert series.

Pushing Chain plays a little bit of country, some bluegrass, ballads, Americana, roots, folk and gospel. The duo features Boyd Blomberg on guitar and vocals and Adam Moe on fiddle and vocals. They have been playing together for 20 years, including the last seven as Pushing Chain. Their shows feature tight harmonies and a gonzo approach to performance and they put everything into their performance.

Pushing Chain will be live at the HPPR studios, 210 N. Seventh St., Garden City, at 7 p.m. Friday, July 19. A suggested donation of $15 would be appreciated.
