GARDEN CITY – The Red Stocking Breakfast, Kansas Children’s Service League’s signature fundraising event, is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Clarion Inn, 1911 E. Kansas Ave.

Red Stocking Breakfast offers a family-friendly holiday atmosphere and benefits two long-standing programs in the community, Early Head Start and Head Start. While these programs are federally or state funded and may receive additional support from United Ways and other grant sources, both rely on Red Stocking Breakfast funds to serve their area.

“All children deserve great childhoods,” said Christie Reed, Head Start Director for KCSL. “By attending Red Stocking Breakfast, you will help KCSL continue to offer Garden City area programs that protect children and strengthen families.”

Tickets are $10 in advance at the Clarion Inn, or $12 at the door the day of the event. Children 10 and under eat free. Tickets can also be ordered at:

Proceeds from Red Stocking Breakfast will help support KCSL’s Finney County prevention and education programs.

All of the funds raised benefit KCSL programs and services. The event features a breakfast buffet.

In addition to the Clarion Inn and Conference Center, major partners include Samy’s Spirits and Steakhouse, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, Golden Plains Credit Union, Fry Eye Associates, P.A., Knoll Crop Protection Services, Sharp Honda, Burns & McDonnell, Westar Energy and Kansas Gas Service.
