Annual Fall Fest, Oktoberfest get underway on Saturday

Garden City’s Fall Fest is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in downtown Garden City and Stevens Park.

More than 90 vendors will be on hand offering food, handmade items, arts and crafts and more.

In addition, the Kansas Kruisers car show will be going on in Stevens Park, and there will be NasDuck 500 Races and Buck-a-Duck races for the kids at Grant and Main St., and live entertainment starting at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Main and Laurel streets.

Also going on this weekend downtown will be the 50th annual Knights of Columbus Oktoberfest. The event features German food, including beef and noodles, bierocks, brats, kraut and wieners, piggies, combo plates and kids plates at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 205 N. Eighth St. Food will be served from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and live music will be provided by “The Source” from 8 p.m. to midnight.

The KOC also will have a food booth set up on Grant Avenue from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. serving German food during Fall Fest.
