Jungle Run car show set for this Saturday

The Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo’s Jungle Run IV car show gets underway on Saturday at 8 a.m. on the West Green at the zoo.

According to FLRZ, there will be train rides, music and food at the event, as well as cars and awards in seven categories including King of the Jungle, Top Ten Cars, Top Motorcycle, Top Truck, People’s Choice, Classic and Monster Muscle. Category winners will be chosen by participants with the exception of the People’s Choice and King of the Jungle.

There will be prize drawings, raffles and giveaways. Raffle tickets are $5 per ticket or $20 for five tickets.

Vehicle registration is from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the gazebo on the West Green. The show will run until 2 p.m. followed by the awards presentation and raffle drawings.

Lee Richardson Zoo will open at 8 a.m. for pedestrians and drive through traffic with no early admittance.
