Life Team to host flight school at Garden City Community College
LifeTeam, a critical care transport company, has partnered with Garden City Community College to host the 2017 Critical Care Flight School June 22 to 24 on the GCCC campus.
Flight School is an academy for critical care nurses and paramedics, providing the opportunity for health care providers to learn more about aeromedicine. After a selective application and review process, 20 students were accepted for the summer session.
“Flight School takes education to the next level by challenging critical care providers. The knowledge and skills these students will take from this opportunity can immediately be applied to better serve patients in their local community,” said LifeTeam Program Director Frank Williams.
Flight School is set in an intense 24-hour training environment and allows selected students to take critical care experience back to their communities. Taught by LifeTeam’s award-winning education department, the school covers a wide array of air medical topics through lectures and hands-on, scenario based training with flight time in both fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft.
When faced with a medical emergency, LifeTeam provides rapid access to life-saving care around the clock in the safest, most efficient, and most caring way possible. A physician driven company, LifeTeam ensures clinical excellence with each patient transport and considers Flight School an excellent opportunity to extend knowledge and experience to others in the industry.
