Summer Bookmobile program to begin

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he USD 457 Books on the Bus program, better known as B.O.B., will visit various sites in Garden City, Monday through Thursday, starting on Monday, June 5. The bookmobile’s last scheduled visit will be July 27, and it will not visit the community July 3 to 7.

B.O.B. is a traveling bus that brings books to various locations in Garden City during the summer, whose goal is to increase reading skills by getting books into the hands of children.

The Kids Meals on Wheels Bus will be accompanying B.O.B. during the summer. Sack lunches will be provided for those 18 and younger as part of the Summer Food Service Program. All meals must be eaten on site. Adults wishing to eat with their child can purchase a lunch for $4.

The bookmobile will visit include Ayala Park, 216 N. Taylor Avenue, from 11 a.m. to noon,  and the Public Swimming Pool in Finnup Park, 312 E Finnup Dr., from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.
