Christmas will soon be upon us and for those that have recently lost a loved one, this time of year may be difficult. Hospice of St. Catherine Hospital will host two events that encourage you to remember loved ones that have passed: the Hospice Tree of Life and the Memorial Wreath Lighting.
The blessing and dedication service for the Tree of Life will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, in the south lobby of St. Catherine Hospital, 401 E. Spruce.
The Hospice Tree of Life allows you to honor those that have passed with a special ornament this Christmas. For a donation of $10, a personalized ornament with your loved one’s name will be placed on the Tree of Life from November 28th to January 9th. Proceeds from the ornaments will benefit the 2018 Comfort Zone Family Retreat.
The Memorial Wreath Lighting Ceremony is a meaningful celebration held under the stars paying tribute to all hospice patients who have died this year. This celebration of life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 in the Hospice Memorial Garden located at 602 N. Sixth St.
