Several youth football players competed in the YMCA’s Super Saturday tackle football tournament on October 14. The tournament included third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade divisions.
In the third grade division, RT Screen Print claimed the championship with a winning score of 20-0 over Pepsi Co. In the fourth grade championship, BASF took first with a winning score of 38-0 over Pizza Hut. Vulgamore Farms’ fifth grade team came in first in their division, beating El Zarape Salsa 39-6. And the sixth grade championship team was Mesa Plumbing with a score of 36-0 against First National Bank.
Select players will go on to compete in the Southwest Kansas Challenge this Saturday, Oct. 21, at Horace Good’s Memorial Stadium taking on teams from Dodge City, Holcomb, Leoti and Scott City.
