The signs of tomorrow’s Fall Fest are apparent this morning.
Fall Fest is set for 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday on Main Street and in Stevens Park in Downtown Garden City. More than 90 vendors will be on hand, offering a variety of goods and food.
In addition, there will be the buck-a-duck races for kids at 10:45 a.m. and the NasDuck 500 race at 1 p.m. An entertainment area will be set up at Main and Laurel.
Also, the 49th annual Oktoberfest is going on at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 205 N. Eighth St., with German food served from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., including beef and noodles, bierocks, brats, kraut and weiners, piggies, combo plates and kids plates. The downtown Grant Avenue booth also will serve German food at Fall Fest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and there will be live music featuring Ortiz Night Shift from 8 p.m. to midnight at the KOC Hall.
Be sure to visit downtown merchants as well during the festivities.
